I would like to invite you to a very special evening of worship and praise on Sunday evening, May 19th at Maplewood Baptist Church at 6:00pm. The church is located at 2806 Marshall Avenue, Maplewood, Missouri 63143.
Three very dear and talented friends and myself, all of whom grew up together at MBC will be combining our efforts in praising and honoring Jesus Christ our Lord.
It is our hope and prayer that God uses this time to encourage, inspire, renew, revive, reveal, and restore.
Your participation will only add to this hope being realized.
Another great concert, this time at the Mission Community Church in Pacific, Mo. What a great example of the love and fellowship that God wants his children to share with one another. This is a wonderful church led by Senior Pastor David Lange. He started the day off with a wonderful message and was so warm and welcoming. Everyone was so great to us and we felt right at home.
Not only is David a pastor but he is also an author, having written the book, “Five Commitments of Repentance“. This book lists five ways to honor God through reclaiming the practices that help us stay close to God. I know this is a book my family and I need to read, it’s great to have encouragement to put us back on course. One of the commitments he discusses is to “Make Prayer and God’s Word a Priority“. I love this reminder because with work and the day to day life obligations, prayer and reading the bible can sometimes be put on the low end of daily priorities. Reminders to pray and read the Word are always needed and welcome. He discusses four other great ways for the Christian to remain faithful in honoring our God and the website for his book, “Five Commitments of Repentance“, is a great place to visit for more encouragement and guidance.
Jody Burkeen is also a pastor of the church. He led the children’s service before the main service and is so gifted in encouraging the children to think and grow in their love of the Lord. And he also has book “Man Up! Becoming a Godly Man In An UnGodly World“. I could’t believe we met not one but two authors in this small church. These are godly and gifted men who have been blessed with talents to help us grow as Christians.
What I blessing to be able to say that we have connected with this church. We pray that they continue to grow, and I know that we will visit Mission Community Church again.
Going to be at Maplewood Baptist Church, on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm to share some worship music. Nice to be able to visit the church I grew up in and hopefully see some faces from my childhood. Can’t wait.
